The start of the 2016 season didn’t go as Carpathia FC had planned. Travelling to Chicago to face RWB Adria,the defending champions was not an easy task. On a cool brisk Saturday night, the teams took to the field at 5:00 P.M. to start the Premier League Of America’s inaugural season. CFC came out strong with high intensity but it was the skill and pace of Adria that soon took over the game and allowed them to net a goal before half time. They would score another shortly after the second half whistle. Carpathia’s Wade Allan answered minutes after, receiving a ball on the top of the 18 yard box before he calmly placed it in the top left corner making the game 2-1. The defending champs proved why they are the defending champs answering back and making the game 3-1. With minutes left in the game Adria netted it’s fourth goal, making the final 4-1.
Head Coach Bruce Wilden said after the game “I am happy that we had the opportunity to play Adria first. It’s always good playing one of the best teams first to know what level of play we need to get too. Our up coming training sessions will be with more intensity and will focus on areas we were vulnerable and need to improve on. We will continue to work hard and will be ready for the June 18th game when we host Adria”.
May 21,2015 marks an exciting Saturday for Carpathia FC as they host Aurora Borelais SC at L’Anse Creuse North High School. This will be the first home game Carpathia FC will host in its inaugural season. Kick off is set to begin at 4:00 PM. This will be the second game of Carpathia’s schedule and the first game for Aurora. Looking to bounce back after suffering an opening game loss, Carpathia looks to do so on home turf. “Aurora will be a young, fast and talented team and one that we will have to be mentally and physically prepared for. Every game in the league is going to be a battle” stated Carpathia FC Manager Mike Dolan.
